What documents do I need to import?

A commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading or airway bill, certificate of origin where applicable, and any permit or standard certificate for controlled goods. Send the set before the vessel sails — correcting paperwork at origin is always cheaper than at the quay.

How is duty calculated?

Duty and tax follow the HS classification of the goods applied to the declared CIF value, in line with Sierra Leonean tariff and GST rules. We classify, show the computation in the quotation and lodge the declaration.

Do you handle small consignments?

Yes. Groupage starts from a single pallet. Your cargo shares container space with other consignments but keeps its own file, count and clearance.

How long does clearance take?

With a complete document set lodged in advance, most declarations clear in 1–3 working days. Missing permits, valuation queries or inspection orders extend that, which is why we review documents before arrival.

Can you store cargo after arrival?

Yes — bonded and open storage is available on a daily or monthly rate, under count and release control. Storage beyond the free port period is billed separately and quoted upfront.

Do you arrange insurance?

We can place all-risk or named-perils marine cargo cover with licensed underwriters and issue the certificate before cargo moves. Cover is optional and priced per consignment.

Which destinations do you serve?

Our core lane is into and out of Freetown. We also handle transit consignments bound for Guinea, Liberia and Mali, with onward movement arranged through vetted partners.

How do I get a rate?

Use the quote form or call the office. Give origin, destination, commodity, volume and weight, and we will return an itemised quotation within one working day.
